Mini-Biographies of Grace Liturgists

Grace Church is blessed to have experienced people who provide leadership for our liturgical life. One of the priests listed below celebrates Eucharist virtually every Sunday at Grace, as well on special occasions. Hawley Todd leads our healing services (Celebrations of Wholeness and Healing) about once a month at our Sunday worship and on the second Wednesday evening of every month.

The Reverend David Howard

For 14 years through 2010, Fr. Howard served as a hospice chaplain, ministering and counseling dying patients and their families, providing assurance of God’s comfort, pardon and grace. He is now retired and acts as supply priest where he is called. He has served several congregations as priest in the Diocese of Southern Ohio over the past 21 years, and previously served Presbyterian and Episcopal churches in Liberia.
Fr. Howard came to the US from Liberia in 1960 to study. Due to the civil war back home, he and his family could not return. He is now a US citizen.
He has a BS degree from University of Liberia, a Master of Divinity degree from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, a Master of Education degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and received Clinical Pastoral Education at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

The Reverend Robert Hufford

For the past 17 years Fr. Hufford has served as Chaplain of the Sisters of the Transfiguration in Glendale where he will still celebrate at 8 AM on the Sundays he leads our 10 AM service. (So don't be surprised if he's a little breathless!)
Fr. Hufford has served the parishes of St. Alban's in Chicago and St. Stephen's in Covington and has also served as campus minister at Eastern Kentucky University
He earned his bachelor's degree at Brown University, his master's at McGill in Montreal and his Master of Divinity at Nashotah House. He was ordained deacon and priest in 1972 in the Diocese of Chicago.
